As a clinical psychologist, I provide therapy to adults, adolescents,
and couples for a variety or problems and issues in addition to
the specialties described
here. (For example, someone might seek my services because of acute
stress or because they were diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.)
Use the menu bar to your left to learn more about my practice and
me.
Click on Education & Training
to get a brief overview of my graduate and undergraduate training.
However, my education does not stop here. All psychologists are
required to take at least 36 hours of continuing education programs
over every two-year period.
Click on Types of Therapy to learn more
about the four different approaches to therapy I use in my practice.
Understanding a therapist's therapeutic approach is important in
your making a decision about what kind of therapist you want to
choose.
The Professional Associations page
shows the various professional associations to which I belong. Generally,
the number and type of associations to which a therapist belongs
can give you a good idea about his or her participation in the professional
community.
Click on Publications to view the
various books I have authored and to find out how to obtain a copy,
should you desire to do so. In several cases, you can also see the
Table of Contents for a book to get a better idea of its contents.
All of my books take primarily a cognitive-behavioral approach to
helping the reader help him or herself.
I am fortunate to have had a considerable amount of media experience,
and clicking on Media Experience will tell
you more about that. According to reports from clients and friends,
my participation in a TV show about cosmetic surgery is getting
continued exposure on the Discovery Channel.
Clicking on Contact Dr.
Nash is a shortcut that takes you to the page that gives my
phone number, email address, and office location.
